Berkeley Citizens offers a variety of residential placement opportunities, certified under state and federal standards, that are designed to enhance the physical, social and emotional well-being of eligible individuals.
Community Training Home (CTH) I
Similar to foster care parents, CTH I caregivers are trained private citizens who contract with Berkeley Citizens to provide care in their homes for one or two individuals. Homes are licensed by the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs.
Community Training Home (CTH) II
The CTH II program offers individuals the opportunity to live in local neighborhoods with 24-hour-a-day supervision and the assistance of agency employees. We help provide and coordinate personalized care, individualized training, recreation and other activities within the community to meet the needs of each individual.
Intermediate Care Facility
Berkeley Citizens maintains homes for individuals who require assistance with challenging behaviors and medical needs. Each home has awake-shift staff and services including medical, psychiatric, psychological, occupational, physical and speech therapies, and dietary support.
