VolunteerJoin Our Family!

Volunteers are an important part of our community at Berkeley Citizens. We welcome you to join us!.

Berkeley Citizens needs volunteers to help carry out our mission of providing individuals with lifelong intellectual developmental disabilities opportunities to develop and maintain productive, self-fulfilling lifestyles. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, working directly with those we serve and assisting “behind the scenes” in our administrative offices.

Volunteers can become a “buddy” to an individual or even an entire group home by helping with special holiday activities. Take someone to church, sponsor or plan a party, or simply stop by his or her home for a visit.

If you prefer to work “behind the scenes,” you can apply for Board membership or volunteer to serve on our Human Rights Committee. There are many opportunities for individuals or organizations to become involved and share their time and talents.

We guarantee you will find your volunteer work with Berkeley Citizens so rewarding you will consider us and, most importantly, the people we serve an extension of your own family!
